Kilohana Crater Expeditions

• Kilohana Crater Expeditions is a guided off-road adventure into the heart of Kauaʻi, beginning at historic Kilohana Plantation. Guests travel in comfortable multi-passenger Kawasaki Mules through fruit orchards, fern valleys, pasturelands, forested trails, and lush private landscapes that reveal several of Kauaʻi’s remarkable microclimates along the way.

• Along the journey, guests may encounter open pastureland with grazing cattle, native Hawaiian plants and trees, and access to the grounds of Iliahi Estate, ahistoric plantation-era property tucked into the mountains above Kilohana.

• The highlight is riding the rim to Kilohana Crater, where guests enjoy a refreshment stop surrounded by sweeping island scenery, including Mount Waialeale. On the return, the views continue with sights of Kalapaki Bay and Hāʻupu Mountain. Throughout the tour, guides share the history, stories, movie locations, and aloha of this special place.
